OUR MISSON is to
TOUCH the lives of unbelievers, to RECEIVE them into God’s family, to TEACH them Jesus’ ways, to help them SERVE one another, so as to GLORIFY God together, forever!

Dear Parents, Proverbs 23:24 have this to say:
“The father of godly children has cause for joy. What a pleasure it is to
have wise children.” What does it entail to bring up
“Godly children”? I would like to point out 3 crucial ingredients. (1) Trust in the Lord. Who? All the people in contact with the youth
–particularly the parents and church adults. When we pray fervently for our
youths, God will honour our prayers. Furthermore, our personal Godliness
becomes great examples for our youths. (2) Family education. Parents who try all ways and means to help
their youths follow the Lord will be rewarded by positive results. This could
be through family prayers and Bible studies, heart-to-heart talks, tough
discipline, family projects in serving others, and role modelling. (3) Church support. Youths are in the phase of discovering
independence (both socially and spiritually). Hence, they enjoy and need
to spend long hours with people outside the family to form his personal
identity. The church must become the youth’s social environment of choice
where he would be immersed among Godly adults and positive peers. I
pray sincerely that you are with me on point (1) and (2). And I’ll do my best
to ensure point (3) in KPC. This way, I believe we’ll be on the way to
experiencing the great “joy” described in Proverbs. Yours truly, Ps Kuo Yung Click here for more perspectives… |

OUR MISSION & VISIONThe KPC Youth Ministry has
its mission rooted in the GREAT COMMANDMENT (Mark 12:30-31) and GREAT
COMMISSION (Matthew 18:19-20) given by our lord Jesus. Our MISSION is to TOUCH the lives of unbelievers, to RECEIVE them into God’s family, to TEACH them Jesus’ ways, and to help
them SERVE one
another, so as to GLORIFY God
together, forever! Our VISION is for a
vibrant and creative Youth Ministry characterized by a robust INCREASE in born-again youths, a rich
display of GIFTS & TALENTS in
serving other youths, and a continual SENDING FORTH of ministers for the Church and society! |

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENTThrough 3 types of leadership roles, youths are given ample opportunities to develop leadership qualities and a servanthood attitude. Directors The youth pastor and a team of
directors (covering 5 departments: worship, discipleship, ministry, missions
and fellowship) work together to plan and deliver the programs of the Youth
Ministry. This committee meets once a month on Sunday afternoons. Small Group Leaders Small group leaders take care of
a group of youths assigned to them. In order to exercise spiritual influence
in their own groups, group leaders are constantly challenged to improve their
own spiritual walk. They are equipped for their role through Youth Leadership
Training Course (YLTC), which is held once a month on Saturday afternoons. Ministry Leaders The Youth Ministry offers its youths many opportunities to exercise their gifts through participating in various ministry teams (e.g. music teams, ushers teams, publication team, decorations team, etc). Ministry leaders prepare and direct their team members to serve well under their ministry areas. Ministry leaders need to attend YLTC too. |

YOUTH LEADERSHIP TRAINING CAMP (4th
to 7th June 2006)
If you desire your
youth a vivacious spiritual life, this is a MUST GO for him! Through this
camp, he’ll be challenged (a) to take his parents’ God as his own God, and
(b) to take God’s will as his own will. All 16 year-olds and above will be
invited (younger youths will be invited on request basis). Advise your youth
to drop every other commitment and sign up for this camp! Your youth and you
shall not regret it… |
